Parent Pathways is a voluntary, personalised program designed to help parents and carers make confident and empowered steps towards their goals, tailored to their role as a parent.
This service is flexible, accessible, and considerate of individual circumstances, offering a safe environment where children are always welcome.

When you’re ready to chat, contact us, either in person or over the phone, to talk with one of our friendly Mentors. - Sign up and schedule
Sign your consent form and book an appointment. We offer flexible options to fit your schedule and your children’s needs. - Tell us your story
With your mentor, we’ll look at what you need right now, identify your strengths, experience, and skills, and find any challenges you’re facing. - Create a Plan
Work with your mentor to make a plan that suits your short- and long-term goals and situation. Your mentor will help you choose the best activities to support your goals.
How Parent Pathways can help you
- Gift Vouchers: $100 for your first in-person appointment, $50 for ongoing in-person appointments (limits apply).
- Transport Assistance: Support for travel costs to attend appointments.
- Individual support: Covers study-related expenses, technology, and transportation
- Other support: Available for early childhood, medical costs, crisis support, job-related expenses, and relocation assistance.
- Access to training or study options, including help with English language skills.
- Job search assistance, professional resume services, and connections to family-friendly employers.
- Digital literacy skills: Improve your computer and digital abilities.
- Crisis help: Confidential support and referrals for those in need.
- Housing assistance: Guidance on securing suitable housing options.
- Health and wellbeing: Support from qualified counsellors and connections to relevant services.
- Childcare and early education: Help finding childcare and accessing subsidies.
- Transport assistance: Help with learner’s permits, driving lessons, and logbook hours.
- Free WiFi, computers, printing, phones, kitchen facilities, and child-friendly areas.
- Safe spaces to meet other parents and enjoy time with your children.
- Safe, inclusive services for First Nations and culturally diverse parents.
- Interpreter services available in multiple languages.
Eligibility
To be eligible, you must have a child under 6, not be in paid employment, and live in a non-remote area.
You must also be receiving:
- Parenting Payment
- Carer Payment
- Special Benefit
Or you qualify if you are not receiving a Centrelink payment and are either:
- Under 22 years old
- An early school leaver (without Year 12 qualification)
- A First Nations parent or carer
