Exciting Collaboration Between Leading Disability Service Providers

Exciting Collaboration Between Leading Disability Service Providers

In a bid to foster collaboration and share best practices, two leading disability service providers, are-able and Omnia Inclusive Employment Solutions, are coming together to enhance their School Leaver Employment Support (SLES) services.

Tom Scarborough, CEO of are-able, has extended an invitation to Omnia’s team to visit their Geelong site. The goal is to review how are-able runs its SLES service, which has been delivering outstanding open employment outcomes for young people with disabilities. Recognising this success, Matt Little, CEO of Omnia, expressed his interest in arranging an excursion for Omnia’s key SLES personnel to learn about are-able’s effective methods of operation. These methods have led are-able to become the number three provider in the country for youth employment outcomes.

Tom welcomed the opportunity for collaboration, emphasising the mutual benefits of sharing experiences and improving outcomes for people living with disabilities. “Collaborating with Omnia allows us to extend our impact and continue to innovate in our approach to supporting young people with disabilities,” he stated.

In response, Matt expressed his eagerness to learn from are-able’s successful approach to achieving sustainable employment outcomes. “We are excited to see firsthand the strategies that have made are-able so successful and look forward to implementing new ideas to enhance our own SLES service,” said Matt.

The collaboration marks a significant step towards improving the quality and effectiveness of SLES services, ultimately benefiting young people with disabilities by improving their employment outcomes. Kate Fraser, Omnia’s General Manager of Operations, and Amanda Minors, NDIS Regional Manager, met with our team, including Chelsea Martinovich, are-able SLES Program Manager, and Tammie Hawke, are-able Group Services Manager, in Geelong.

Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting collaboration and the positive impacts it will bring!
