are-able stood proudly alongside the Dhauward-Wurrung community as they raised the NAIDOC Week flag. During the festivities, the are-able Portland team were honoured to witness a traditional smoking ceremony, embracing the spiritual connection to the land and ancestors, fostering healing and respect. Additionally, the team organized a painting activity to commemorate the spirit of NAIDOC Week. This special event pays homage to the remarkable heritage and invaluable contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
