Upgraded Kitchen to feed into more program at the Stawell Neighbourhood House thanks to the are-able Foundation
The are-able Foundation is pleased to support the Stawell Neighbourhood House as part of the are-able Foundation’s latest round of grants.
The are-able Foundation grant will be used by the Stawell Neighbourhood House for a much-needed upgrade to their kitchen with a larger oven and new equipment. The upgrade will enable the Stawell Neighbourhood House to run additional programs and provide pathways for participants to develop skills for employment. Promoting independent living and healthier lifestyle choices is a key part of the Stawell Neighbourhood House. The kitchen is a registered Commercial and training kitchen and delivers programs and activities for people with disabilities.
“We are so excited to be able to present this cheque to the Stawell Neighbourhood House, enabling them to upgrade their kitchen, expand their programs and continue serving the local community.” Said Vanessa Jones, are-able Jobactive Stawell Team Leader.
Christine Dearman is the Stawell Neighbourhood House Coordinator and accepted the cheque on behalf of the organisation saying “The upgrades won’t only help formal programs but those who are waiting to familiarise themselves around a kitchen before signing up to formal training”.
